The northern coast of the Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran, which connects the Persian and Omani Straits. The sea route through which almost all the oil produced in the countries of the Persian Gulf is taken passes through it, and it is the only way to supply gas and oil to third countries, in particular to the USA.

The American side, realizing the importance of this strait, constantly tries to increase its influence in the region, which Iran opposes in various ways.
