Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated that relations between Iran and Azerbaijan are developing, and the two countries do not have any problems in border and security issues. According to "Detq", the Iranian "ParsToday" news agency informs about this.

Referring to his visit to the border regions with Azerbaijan, the head of the Iranian Armed Forces stressed that the economic relations between the two countries are developing and deepening day by day, and this is a regular, yearly visit. "During this visit, the level of preparation of the border guard troops of Iran's police and army was assessed. "Our friends guard and protect the country's borders with a high spirit," he said.

Bagheri said that Iran's border guard forces are fulfilling their task and their work is effective. When asked how Iran will react to border violations, Bagheri answered: "Certainly, our response will be as strong as the period of holy protection."

The latter added that if there is an attack against the country's borders or interests at any point, the armed forces will respond to the enemy as the first step. He said that the people of Iran will also stand together against the enemy with all their strength and destroy the aggressor.

Despite the tension in the relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, the Iranian side is still trying to keep them under control and settle them if possible. Iran realizes that its enemies want to use the territory of Azerbaijan as a springboard in case of a possible attack against it, so it tries to prevent this collision, the consequences of which can be unpredictable.
