Why do they continue to turn a blind eye to Azerbaijan's actions? "Past"
Turkey seeks, on the one hand, to depopulate Artsakh and the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers, and on the other hand, to open the so-called "Zangezur Corridor", through which pan-Turkish plans will become a reality. As a result of the implementation of Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem programs, the West's plan to finally pull Russia out of the region is actually being implemented, and the Russian leadership is still giving the green light to Azerbaijan's crimes. Russia started military operations against Ukraine on the grounds that the rights of the population of Donbass and Lugansk are being violated, but when the population of Artsakh is facing the threat of genocide, the Russian side submits to Azeri demands.
Russia is afraid to even discuss the topic of using helicopters of peacekeepers to provide aid to Artsakh. Europe's position regarding Artsakh is also strange. The EU, which always promotes the human rights agenda, continues to turn a blind eye to Azerbaijan's actions. The EU continuously highlights the importance of the energy carriers supplied from Azerbaijan, considering Aliyev a "reliable partner". Brussels has even appeared in the role of asking dictatorial Azerbaijan for Baku to increase gas supplies to Europe. Azerbaijan starved 120 thousand people, but Charles Michel still talks about the dialogue between Artsakh and Azerbaijan.
And Toivo Klaar, the EU's special representative in the South Caucasus, legitimizes Azerbaijan's criminal steps, noting that the delivery of humanitarian cargo from Akna to Stepanakert will complement supplies from Armenia. It turns out that in exchange for gas, the EU puts its declared principles of democracy and human rights protection on the altar and follows the agenda of despotic Azerbaijan, which does not care about human rights. The USA is also not putting enough pressure on Azerbaijan.
