I have neither a mandate nor a need to discuss the issue of delivering aid to Stepanakert with Aghdam. RA Prime Minister
First of all, addressing and regulating the situation is not necessary for the international community, but for RA and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh - ed.). RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this today, July 25, during a press conference.
"We must record this clearly. Does the international community express a position and take steps regarding addressing the situation created around Nagorno Karabakh? Yes, the Council of Europe has adopted a resolution on this topic, at the last session of the OSCE Permanent Council, many countries have expressed unequivocal positions, the International Court of Justice has expressed a clear position. Are these efforts enough? No. I am recording this, but we are a little delusional that the international community needs what we can do to settle the problem," Pashinyan added.
Referring to the journalist's clarifying question, whether the statement of the President of the European Council Charles Michel in Brussels was unexpected for Pashinyan, that Azerbaijan's proposal to provide a humanitarian corridor to Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh - ed.) through Akna (Aghdam - ed.) is important, Pashinyan answered: "It was not a surprise, but I did not discuss such a question, because I have neither the need nor mandate to discuss such a question. And I have to discuss the issue of Lachin Corridor, because it is included in the agreement of November 9, of which I am one of the signatories."
