There will be lasting peace when international borders remain unchanged. Former ambassador of Iran in Baku

Mohsen Pak-Ayin, the former ambassador of Iran in Baku, stated that  just a peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be established when the international borders remain unchanged. According to "Detq", the Iranian "ParsToday" news agency informs about this.

The Iranian diplomat emphasized that Tehran is against the change of international borders. According to him, peace can be stable if, first of all, the territorial integrity of the countries is respected.

"Any contract signed under this condition will be a permanent agreement. Secondly, international borders should not be changed. If these borders change, it will cause new conflicts, and as a result the region will remain insecure," he said.

At the same time, Mohsen Pak-Ayin drew attention to the fact that Iran does not consider the participation of non-regional countries useful for establishing peace in the region.

"Since they have interests and considering that they strive to ensure these interests, they can influence the peace process. Therefore, we do not consider the intervention of countries like the USA or the European Union to be useful in the Caucasian issue and we are worried that these interventions will cause new insecurity," he said.

The former ambassador of Iran in Baku added that the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is exclusively related to both countries. According to him, if the parties negotiate within this framework, peace is established, Tehran will also support it.

The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the policy of establishing peace in the region. In this context, the Iranian side insists that all problems should be solved exclusively with the participation of regional countries, not allowing non-regional countries to be involved in them in any way.
