Humanitarian goods are still in Kornidzor, there is no response from the Russian peacekeepers. Vardan Sargsyan

Humanitarian trucks going to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh - ed.) will remain in the border area of Kornidzor until a response is received from the Russian peacekeepers. Vardan Sargsyan, representative of the humanitarian crisis management working group in Artsakh, said this in a conversation with journalists.

He noted that they appealed to the Russian peacekeepers regarding the transportation of the luggage, but at the moment there is still no answer. "We are waiting for the answer. It's not like there was an answer some time ago, there is none at the moment," said Sargsyan, noting that there was no response from the Russian peacekeepers at the time the cargo left Yerevan either.

"The Armenian side appealed to the Russian peacekeepers to transport the humanitarian cargo from Syunik to Nagorno Karabakh. We will tell you what developments will happen later," Sargsyan said in response to the question: "Would the Armenian side agree that the goods reach Artsakh with the cars of the Azerbaijanis?"

On July 26, 19 cars loaded with 361 tons of essential goods left Yerevan for Artsakh, which has been under siege for more than 225 days. The trucks reached Kornidzor and stopped. They are waiting for the response of the Russian peacekeepers to continue the road through the Lachin Corridor blocked by Azerbaijan.

The trucks contain 60 tons of sugar, 40 tons of oil, 100 tons of flour, 80 tons of pasta, 20 tons of salt, 40 tons of milk powder, 12 tons of baby food and 9 tons of medicine.

According to the representative of the humanitarian crisis management working group in Artsakh, Vardan Sargsyan, contact was established with the Russian peacekeeping forces regarding the delivery of the cargo.
