Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN believes that the Palestinian issue can only be resolved with the end of the occupation
Amir Said Irvani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN, stated that the issue of Palestine can only be resolved with the end of the occupation. According to "Detq", the Iranian pro-government "Mehr" news agency informs about this.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is based on the belief that the Palestinian issue can only be resolved by ending the occupation and recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination," he said.
Irawani regretted that the UN Security Council, with its silence, made the organization's resolutions ineffective and left the Palestinian people alone in the face of the crimes of this regime. According to him, the Zionist regime became more daring and continued to violate the resolutions approved by the United Nations, including the Security Council, because it was not held accountable for its crimes.
Iran's permanent representative to the UN added that this ongoing aggression not only violates the Palestinians' basic human rights, but also hinders their access to basic services and hinders the country's economic development. He said that the ongoing blockade of Gaza is a form of collective punishment and a clear manifestation of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Iranian side and the majority of the Islamic world support Palestine in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and consider Israel an enemy and an artificial state. In this context, Iran cooperates with armed organizations operating in Palestine, which are fighting against Israel.
