"Freedom to Vagif Khachatryan". the youth blocked the entrance to the ICRC Armenian office

Today, July 31, early in the morning, dozens of students from different Armenian universities closed the entrance to the Armenian office of the International Committee of the Red Cross chanting "Freedom to Vagif Khachatryan".

"Our demand is to have a meeting with the head of the International Red Cross Organization, to hold a press conference in Geneva, to inform everyone that a person was stolen from their direct control, otherwise they will agree with what happened on Saturday," the participant of the action told “News.am”

"Who is your mandate for, if not for the people who are being GENOCIDATED, the hungry and the little ones without childhood, the young people who are deprived of their basic rights and are away from their families?" said another participant of the action, calling on the ICRC employees not to act, not to be indifferent, to raise the alarm about everything, about what is happening in the Republic of Artsakh.

Remember that on July 29, one of the medical patients transferred from Artsakh to Armenia, 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan, who was going to Armenia for an operation, was kidnapped by the representatives of the border guard service of Azerbaijan. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan announced that he was arrested. According to the accusation, Vagif Khachatryan allegedly created a criminal group, which in 1991, on December 21, participated in the crimes against the residents of Meshali village of Khojaly region.
