Aliyev said that Azerbaijan has no territorial demands from Armenia
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview to "Euronews" that Azerbaijan has no territorial claims against Armenia.
"And we, for our part, do not want them to have territorial claims against Azerbaijan. The people who live in Karabakh, in the territory temporarily controlled by Russian peacekeepers, live in Azerbaijan. They have to choose whether to live as citizens of Azerbaijan, like any other national minority, with which Azerbaijan is so rich, or to leave. This is their choice. Not as we want them to leave, and not as Armenia accuses us of organized ethnic cleansing, no. We give them a choice. Well, how else can they live in our territory, being either citizens of Armenia without any legal permission, or of the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, which no one recognizes? So I think this is a legitimate approach that is consistent with international practice. A practice that we see in many European countries, which are also fighting separatism," said the dictator of Baku.
