They visit my father, he was in a good condition, but I can't trust anything they say. the daughter of an abducted Artsakh citizen
Until today, we have not established any contact with my father, only on the evening of July 29, they informed us that they visited my father in one of the hospitals in Baku, without even specifying which hospital. Vera Khachatryan, the daughter of Vagif Khachatryan, who was abducted from the Azerbaijani checkpoint on Hakari Bridge on July 29, said this today, August 2, during a protest in front of the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
"They saw that my father was in a good condition, but I can't trust anything they say. Today, I demand from the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide a video call with my father in order to know what my father's state is physically, I already know mentally. They say you can convey word of mouth, but neither me, nor my father, nor other members of my family have anything to convey verbally, because we know how we feel about each other, what we can convey to each other. For that I now only need to see my father's physical condition. Maybe he's in a coma, they don't provide a video call for that, or maybe he's no longer physically with us. It is the most unbearable pain that a daughter can express about her father, but today I found myself in that situation. Anyone could be in my condition," he said.
Vera Khachatryan said that not only her rights and the rights of the Armenian people were violated, but also the rights of the Red Cross. "Under their guarantee, my father came to Armenia to receive treatment, so they are also responsible for my father's abduction. My father was the proof that if they could get their hands on (Artsakh) Armenians, they would do harm at any moment. It is simply impossible to live with them. Another person was abducted yesterday."
He also informed that he has not yet received an answer to his letter addressed to the UN.
On July 29, the representatives of the border guard service of Azerbaijan abducted 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan, who was being transferred from Artsakh to Armenia through the International Committee of the Red Cross, from the Azerbaijani "checkpoint" illegally located in the Berdzor corridor.
