Kanaani emphasized that the US, based on international rules and taking into account the request of the Syrian government, is obliged to leave the country.

The Iranian official also referred to the military operations carried out by the USA in the region. "The military presence of the United States in Syria and Iraq is considered illegal and is a factor of continued instability and insecurity in the country," he said.

The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry added that regional problems should be solved exclusively with the participation of regional countries.
