Iran will not accept any geopolitical changes in the region. Foreign Minister of Iran

On September 3, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met in Tehran.

Iran will not accept any geopolitical changes in the region and blocking of existing transit routes. This was announced by the head of Iran's Foreign Ministry during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart.

"The time has come to leave behind the period of tensions and conflicts and move forward the period of peace and cooperation in the Caucasus. Good agreements were reached with Ilham Aliyev. We support agreements and dialogues between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Abdollahian said.

Iran's chief diplomat also said that they reached an agreement with Fidan on creating a format for Iran-Turkey-Azerbaijan negotiations, which was proposed by the Turkish Foreign Minister to help ensure peace and stability in the Caucasus region.

The parties also exchanged ideas on such issues as the Russian-Ukrainian war, the situation in Syria and Libya.

It should be noted that this is Fidan's first visit to Iran after being appointed as Turkish Foreign Minister.
