Online recruitment of fighters for the Russian-Ukrainian war is underway in Armenia

The Russian-Ukrainian war is going on in many dimensions. One of them is very unique, as it involves citizens of other countries, who are a potential mobilization resource for the conflicting parties. Media researcher Samvel Martirosyan mentions this in his analysis published on Media.am.

It is no secret that the warring countries also have problems with mobilization, which prompts both Russia and Ukraine to look for soldiers from other countries.

The most important tool for such recruitment, for simple reasons, is the Internet. Especially social networks and streaming platforms, where it is possible to place large amounts of advertisements.

Armenia is also targeted through recruiting operations. Both warring sides are working in this direction. At the moment, the activity is coming from Russia.

The first to actively engage in this matter was Ukraine, which created recruitment infrastructures with the participation of the International Legion and embassies.

Advertisements began already in March 2022, days after the start of the war.

Տվյալ պահին Ուկրաինայի կողմից Հայաստանի լսարանի վրա ակտիվություն չի նկատվում։ Հակառակը, Ռուսաստանի կողմից սկսվել են ակտիվորեն տեղադրվել գովազդներ՝ առաջարկելով դառնալ պայմանագրային զինծառայող ռուսական բանակում։

Ռուսական կողմը չունի հնարավորություն տեղադրելու գովազդ ամերիկյան սոցիալական ցանցերում, դրանք ակնհայտ անմիջապես կարգելափակվեն։ Այդ իսկ պատճառով որպես հիմնական հարթակ օգտագործվում են մի շարք ռուսաստանյան կայքեր, որոնց մեծ մասը պատկանում են VK ընկերությանը։ Դա հենց VK սոցցանցն է, Օդնոկլսնիկին է, Mail.ru պլատֆորմը և այլն։

Բացի դրանից, զինվորական հավաքագրման համար օգտագործվում են պիրատական կայքերը, որտեղ ցուցադրվում են ֆիլմեր և սերիալներ, և որտեղ հնարավորություն կա առանց սահմանափակումների տեղադրել գովազդ։
