Azerbaijan and Iran discussed the prospects of military cooperation

A telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov and the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Hossein Bagheri.

This was reported by the Azerbaijani APA agency, according to "Detq".

The parties discussed issues related to the situation and security in the region. Bagheri, in his turn, emphasized that the spread false information about Iran accumulating manpower and military equipment on the border with Azerbaijan and holding military exercises has no real basis.

During the telephone conversation, the prospects of the development of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran were also discussed.
