Iran is ready to play a more crucial role in China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to China, Mohsen Bakhtiyar, stated that Tehran is ready to play a more important role in the Chinese "One Belt, One Road" initiative. According to "Detq", Bakhtiyar said this in an interview with "People's Daily" periodical.
The diplomat emphasized that Iran, being an important transport hub of the ancient Silk Road, considers this initiative as an opportunity for its development.
He drew attention to the fact that China's "One Belt, One Road" road will help a large number of developing countries achieve common development, promote economic growth and reduce poverty.
Bakhtiyar also said that Iran is looking forward to the third conference of international cooperation. He drew attention to the fact that the country is ready to play a major role in the implementation process of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
