This was announced by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during the opening ceremony of the 2nd National Urban Planning Conference on "Sustainable cities as a driving force for economic development and fighting against inequality".

"Expectations towards the current government of Armenia were inflated. If the current government of Armenia wanted to achieve peace with Azerbaijan, it could do so. Azerbaijan was ready for this, international mediators and former co-chairs knew about it. We were ready to solve the problem peacefully based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," said Aliyev.
