The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey referred to the importance of the so-called "Zangezur Corridor".

Turkish Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu once again spoke about the so-called "Zangezur Corridor", stressing its importance both for Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as for regional countries.

"I think that the "Zangezur Corridor" will provide direct rail and road transportation between Turkey and Azerbaijan, it will be an important step for all the countries of the Middle Corridor. The Kars-Nakhijevan railway project, which will be implemented within the framework of this corridor, will connect all of Europe with Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Pakistan through Nakhijevan," he noted.

The "Development Road" project, which aims to increase the railway network, is also on the Turkish agenda.

"Now we have set ourselves the goal of initiating two new international lines with the "Zangezur Corridor" and "Development Road" projects," the Turkish minister said, adding that a new era has begun in the railway sector of Turkey under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to him, the railway network has reached 14 thousand kilometers.
