Lukashenko believes that Belarus and Iran should cooperate more closely

Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, stated that Belarus and Iran should cooperate more closely with each other in order to resist Western attacks. According to "Detq", the Iranian pro-government "Mehr" news agency reports that Lukashenko said this during a meeting with Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber.

At the meeting, Lukashenko expressed hope that the negotiations will have a practical result. "I hope you will not be disappointed with your visit. There are many questions, there is something to talk about. Therefore, I also hope that our conversation will have a good practical result," he said.

According to the latter, Belarus is in roughly the same situation as Iran. He drew attention to the fact that unprecedented pressure is being applied to both countries.

"The pressure exerted on our states is unprecedented, but you have already learned to cope with it to some extent, and your experience is very important for us. I am constantly surprised by the fact that during these large-scale operations, Iran has not completely reduced its level of development, but, on the contrary, has significantly increased it," he concluded.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Belarus have many common interests, which motivate both countries to deepen bilateral cooperation. At the same time, both countries have fairly high-level relations with the Russian Federation, which is another incentive for the development of relations.
