India is discussing the issue of supplying a new batch of weapons to Armenia. "The Economic Times"
India is considering the possibility of supplying a new batch of military equipment to Armenia, writes "The Economic Times" periodical.
"India is thinking about supplying a new batch of military equipment to its strategic ally in the South Caucasus, Armenia, after the successful delivery of the first batch of weapons last year," the newspaper writes.
It is noted that recently a high-ranking official from Armenia arrived in New Delhi and held discussions in this regard.
According to the periodical, there are no details about the new supplies yet, but Armenian observers, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the shipment may include equipment that will serve as a deterrent in a conflict situation with Azerbaijan.
The last batch of weapons supplied by India to Armenia included "Pinaka" multi-barrel rocket launchers, anti-tank weapons, rockets, and other ammunition.
