Armenians remaining in Artsakh are not allowed to talk with their relatives without supervision. Lindsey Snell
Lindsay Snell, a well-known international journalist who covers conflicts and their consequences, published a video on her microblog of the X social network, where a woman from Artsakh tells how her father was adamant in his decision and stayed in Artsakh.
"I spoke with the daughter of one of the few people left in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh - ed.). Azerbaijani state media recently boasted that Azerbaijan is building local telecommunications services, but the remaining Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh have no internet or cell phone connections and are not allowed to talk to their loved ones unsupervised.
And as part of the "reintegration" of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani authorities confiscated the Armenian passports of those who remained there, but did not issue them Azerbaijani passports. This means that the remaining Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh currently do not have citizenship," writes the well-known journalist.
