The head of Iran's General Staff claimed that Israel will suffer another humiliating defeat during a ground attack.

Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, believes that Israel will suffer another humiliating defeat during the ground attack on the Gaza Strip. According to "Detq", the Iranian "Tasnim" news agency informs about this.

Bagheri emphasized that the resistance forces dug more than 400 kilometers of underground tunnels in the north of the Gaza Strip.

"Vehicles and motorcycles can pass through some of them. The tunnels have access to the Gaza Strip, and the other end is behind the barriers," he said.

According to the head of Iran's General Staff, the Israeli regime has lost both on the battlefield and in the world public opinion. He noted that if Israel wants to act logically, it should urgently agree to a ceasefire and gain time through negotiations.

The latter added that the Israeli army is postponing the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, because it realizes that such an operation will become another defeat.

The Israeli authorities regularly announce that they will carry out large-scale ground operations in the Gaza Strip, but for various reasons they have not yet done so. Israel realizes that Hamas enjoys the support of a significant part of Islamic countries, and a ground operation can lead to disastrous consequences for it.
