"Iran welcomes the joint statement of Azerbaijan and Armenia on mutual actions and cooperation, including the release of prisoners from both sides. We consider it a positive event."

The Iranian official also stressed that the achievement of peace requires the strengthening of peaceful rhetoric and the atmosphere of trust between the regional parties. He expressed hope that the measures will lead to peace and stability between the two sides.
