Netanyahu complained to Putin about Russian-Iranian cooperation

Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. According to "Detq", the British "Reuters" news agency reports this.

It is reported that during the telephone conversation, Netanyahu strongly complained about Russia's cooperation with Iran, which he described as "dangerous".

At the same time, the Prime Minister of Israel expressed concern about the "anti-Israeli position" of Moscow's representatives at the United Nations. According to him, the adoption of the aforementioned resolution could not contribute to the just resolution of the situation in Gaza.

It should be reminded that last week Saudi Arabia submitted a resolution to the UN Security Council, which called for an immediate end to the ongoing military operations in Gaza and to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region. The Russian Federation voted in favor of the resolution, while the United States, one of the permanent members of the Security Council, vetoed and overturned its adoption.

Despite its certain relations with Israel, Russia supports Palestine in this conflict and insists on the need to create an independent Palestinian state. This naturally worries Israel, because Russia is also one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, and despite the sanctions against it, it maintains its influence at the global level.
