According to the deputy prime minister, the demarcation and demarcation process with Azerbaijan will take quite a long time

The Rules of Procedure describe how the country commissions will organize joint working sessions and meetings. RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated this today, December 15, during the session of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission, in a conversation with journalists, referring to the working procedure of the border demarcation commissions, which was approved yesterday.

"You know that we have a border demarcation commission, and the Azerbaijani side has such a commission. The logic of our work is that there is a commission meeting. We considered it right to regulate the process of that work, in particular, when we meet, where we meet, how we draw up the protocol, what language we speak, etc. We will speak in English or Russian, both are possible," said M. Grigoryan.

Referring to the observation that the working order stated that a meeting can be held in a third country as well, the Deputy Prime Minister reminded that there was a meeting once in Brussels and once in Moscow.

According to Mher Grigoryan, the process of demarcation and demarcation will take quite a long time, because it is quite a complicated process. "I cannot rule out that it is years of work. We imagine work like this. during the meetings of the commissions, each of the parties presents a map or part of a map, legal documents that have a description or some regulation of the border, and a discussion and exchange of ideas about that document and that topographic map begins. Naturally, it should be done piece by piece."
