Azerbaijan confirms the presence of about 23 Armenian prisoners, despite the fact that the Armenian side has factual information about the presence of another 32 prisoners.

In an interview with the public television company, the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, stated that Azerbaijan confirms that it is holding 23 Armenian prisoners, 17 of whom are captured as a result of the 2023 aggression.

"After the 44-day war, we have factual data on the enforced disappearance of 32 people, which were presented to the higher state courts," the Chairman of the Central Committee said.

According to him, there are also decisions on applying an interim measure of the European Court of Human Rights regarding 22 of them, but Azerbaijan denies the fact of forced disappearance of these persons.
