"Turkey is committed to its own independent policy, one of its manifestations is the support to fraternal Azerbaijan in the liberation of Karabakh from 30 years of occupation," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the event dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

"Turkey does not act at the behest of other countries, we are fully committed to the interests of Turkey and the Turkish people in our foreign and domestic policy," he said.

According to him, anti-terrorist operations in Northern Iraq and Syria, as well as support to Azerbaijan, are among its manifestations.
