The Parliament of Azerbaijan adopted a statement in response to the resolution of the French Senate on sanctions against Baku

The Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan adopted a statement regarding the resolution of the French Senate.

According to the report, the statement reads: "In recent years, the French political circles, including the Senate and the National Assembly, on the basis of instructions received directly from the Elysée Palace, have intensified their openly racist, Azeri-phobic and Islamophobic activities and continue to take unjust steps against territorial integrity. Due to the anti-Azerbaijani policy conducted by the French government, including the resolutions adopted against our country in both houses of the French Parliament, the relations between the two countries are at the lowest level in history and can be considered almost suspended."

A statement by the Milli Mejlis commission called on French parliamentarians to show political will to prevent "racist, anti-Semitic, Turkophobic and Islamophobic manifestations that continue to grow in this country".

Let's remind that the French Senate adopted a resolution condemning Azerbaijan's military attack in Nagorno-Karabakh by a ratio of 336 votes to 1.
