Historical ways of communication must be preserved. Foreign Minister of Iran to the President of Armenia
During the meeting with Vahagn Khachatryan, the President of the Republic of Armenia in Davos, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdolahian, emphasized the importance of preserving historical communication channels and the inadmissibility of geopolitical changes in the ongoing developments in the Caucasus. We learn about this from the post of Iran's Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani X.
"During the meeting with the President of Armenia, the Foreign Minister of our country emphasized the importance of preserving historical communication channels and the absence of geopolitical changes against the background of the development of processes in the Caucasus," the Iranian ambassador wrote on his X page.
Let's remind that recently the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in an interview with local TV stations, stated again that if the "Zangezur Corridor" is not opened, Azerbaijan will not open the border with Armenia at any other point.
Official Yerevan has repeatedly stated that referring to the sovereign territory of Armenia in the form of a "corridor" is a manifestation of territorial claims against the Republic of Armenia.
