When RA borders are delimited, RA will have information about its sovereign territory. Head of the Cadastre Committee
The most important thing in the process of demarcation and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is the legal assessment. The head of the Cadastre Committee, Suren Tovmasyan, said this while answering the question of whether the commissions on border demarcation and border security issues of Armenia and Azerbaijan have clarification on what maps should be used for demarcation and demarcation.
"On the basis of the legal assessment, one can only say on which maps the process can be done. These works are being carried out, there is a group headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, where my deputies are also participants, daily work is being carried out," he noted.
According to Tovmasyan, the results will be announced publicly.
Regarding the observation that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that "Armenia does not have a cadastre certificate", the head of the Cadastre Committee said that, in his opinion, the Prime Minister's speech referred to the fact that Armenia's borders are not demarcated and delimited.
"When the borders of Armenia are demarcated and delimited, it will mean that the borders of Armenia are documented and Armenia has the information about its sovereign territory," Tovmasyan said.
To remind, the next meeting of the respective commissions of the two countries on the demarcation and delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place at the end of January. At the meeting, the draft regulation on the joint activity of the commissions will be discussed.
