The people will decide whether to abandon the Declaration of Independence or not. Deputy of the Civil Contract Party

We should consider the Constitution as a living document that needs changes during the development of public relations. This was stated in a briefing with journalists by the MP Vladimir Vardanyan, noting that from this point of view, RA is neither the first nor the last to discuss not only constitutional reforms, but also the text of the new Constitution after independence.

"Whether there will be a new Constitution or not, what the text of the new Constitution will be, whether there will be a reference to the provisions of the Declaration of Independence or not, will be decided by the people, the constitution maker. In the current Constitution, there is a reference not to the entire Declaration of Independence, but to individual provisions, and this is done not in the main text, but in the preamble. The people will decide whether there will be a reference in the new Constitution or not, or whether it will be in a larger or smaller volume," he said.

The KP deputy noted that he was always against attempts to change the Constitution every week, but he is also against considering the Constitution as a "sacred cow".
