Were the 8 new minefield maps transferred to the Azerbaijani side? "Azatutyun"

10 days after the announcement of the transfer of 8 new maps of minefields to Baku, the National Security Service (NSS) does not specify whether they have been transferred to the Azerbaijani side. In response to "Azatut's" question, the law enforcement agency offered to send a written request.

Yesterday, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan reported that a citizen was injured in a landmine explosion in the Terter area. This information was followed by official Baku's dissatisfaction with "mines placed by the Armenian side".

"The failure of international partners to force Yerevan to eliminate this threat is causing more casualties and injuries," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan announced.

Official Yerevan has not yet responded to these accusations.

Already today, the Azerbaijani media, referring to the Baku General Prosecutor's Office, reported that another Azerbaijani was injured by a mine explosion in the same newspapers.

According to political commentator Hakob Badalyan, for Baku, the topic of mine laying is a tool to suppress Yerevan, which is regularly used to present the Armenian side as non-constructive in the peace process.

"Azerbaijan is trying to transfer its destructiveness to Armenia in this way and by this means to constantly put pressure on Armenia. We see this policy in different directions, Azerbaijan tries to use all kinds of opportunities, be it big or small," Badalyan said.

Terteri district is in the adjacent parts of Martakert, a part of which was under the control of Baku until the 2020 war. The political commentator does not rule out that these explosions are from the mines planted by the Azerbaijani side.
