Iran has condemned the US and UK attacks against Yemen

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nasser Kanaani, condemned the US and British air and missile attacks on various cities and regions of Yemen. According to "Detq", the Iranian "Tasnim" news agency informs about this.

Kanaani called these attacks a repeated violation of Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity and a gross violation of international law by the United States and Britain.

"The continuation of such arbitrary actions is an open adventure and a worrying threat to international peace and security. The military operations of the USA and Britain against the countries of the region are a continuation of the wrong policy and approach of these two countries to advance their illegitimate goals in the region," he said.

Nasser Kanaani emphasized that these attacks are in clear contradiction with the repeated claims of Washington and London that they do not want to start a war and conflict in the region. According to him, the international community should hold the USA and Britain accountable.

Earlier, the US Ministry of Defense issued a statement that the US and Britain attacked Yemen with the support of Australia, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Bahrain.

Over the past month, the United States and members of the international coalition led by it have been targeting Yemen's Houthis, who enjoy the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This aims to involve Iran in a regional war, which the Iranian side is trying to prevent in every possible way.
