Turkish Foreign Minister on EU-Turkey relations

Does the European Union want to make Turkey a member or not? Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan informed about this to the Turkish "A-Haber" TV channel.

Fidan assessed Turkey's EU accession process, stating that Turkey's journey through the EU process is a long-standing topic, but lessons can be learned from studying the issue both past and present.

"What can the new approach bring? What are our new standards, speech and policy? We are working hard on this issue," the Turkish minister said.

Drawing attention to the topic on which the EU should first decide, Fidan said. "Does the European Union want to make Turkey a member or not?"
