Local military industry is on Turkey's agenda. Ermenihaber

The head of the military industry of Turkey, Haluk Gyorgun, spoke to the journalists about the issues related to the local military industry. He noted that the local military industry occupies an important place for Turkey and is one of the three main topics during meetings with different countries at different levels.

Gjorgun added that there have been successes in this field, and now different countries want to buy different types of military equipment from Turkey. According to him, Turkey now supplies military equipment to 185 countries.

"We are considering the provision of anti-aircraft, ground and naval equipment to our partner countries, as well as the modernization of the existing systems in their armaments," Gyorgun said.

According to the latter, the years 2024 and 2025 will be more successful from the point of view of military industry. He also informed that a department related to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will be established in the international cooperation development department under the Ministry of Defense of Turkey.

The head of the military industry of Turkey informed that he suggested to the companies operating in the country, which are engaged in the production of military equipment, to consider the markets of NATO member states.
