Chinese companies have started creating their own volunteer armies

Chinese companies have started creating their own volunteer armies. At least 16 major Chinese companies, including a private dairy giant, have created combat units over the past year, "Hraparak" reports.

These units, known as People's Armed Forces Directorates, are made up of civilians who continue to work in their regular jobs.

They act as a reserve and auxiliary force for the Chinese army, which is the largest in the world.

Private army volunteers can perform tasks ranging from disaster relief and maintaining "public order" to wartime relief.

The armed forces, which currently operate exclusively within China's borders, have more in common with the US National Guard. they have no political bent.
