"The "Zangezur Corridor" will increase the transport capacity of the "Middle Corridor" by 8-10 million tons per year," Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rahman Humetov said at the regional event on the "Middle Corridor" held in Georgia.
He added that another priority project is the creation of a transport connection from the Eastern Zangezur economic region to Turkey, which will create great opportunities for the development of the transport and logistics sector and will be a part of the "Middle Corridor".
It should be noted that the Trans-Caspian international transport corridor, which is also known as the "Middle Corridor", passes through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and the Black Sea to European countries.
Azerbaijan is trying to present the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" as an important regional hub for the benefit of its country.
