We have no plans to attack Armenia. Aliev
Aliyev met the delegation led by Michael Harms, the chairman of the Eastern Committee of German Economy in Baku.
This is reported by the Azerbaijani "Report" website, according to "Detq".
He noted that Joseph Borel's inadequate statements disappointed the Azerbaijani side.
"First, his statements do not reflect any reality and contradict the norms of international law. Secondly, the Azerbaijani side considers these statements as a veiled threat to Azerbaijan... Thus, Borel said that if Azerbaijan attacks Armenia, it will have bad consequences. First of all, where did Borel get this information that Azerbaijan is going to attack Armenia? We do not have such plans," said Aliyev.
He also continued the anti-French propaganda. "All this is a part of France's anti-Azerbaijani policy, which is based on the demonization of our country in connection with Azerbaijan's alleged preparations to attack Armenia. After the last serious tension on the border with Armenia in September 2023, the situation on the border was calm until February of this year. However, after an Armenian sniper seriously wounded an Azerbaijani soldier in February, we had to respond to it in a timely and precise manner. Our response lasted a few minutes, and it was enough for Armenia to understand that the attempt to kill Azerbaijanis will not go unpunished, and, as I said, since September of last year, except for this incident, the border has been calm."
The dictator of Baku, distorting the reality, stated that Azerbaijan is committed to the "peace" process.
Azerbaijan regularly resorts to various provocations, for which it blames the Armenian side, and at the same time declares that it is committed to the peace process and has no plans to attack.
