Iran and Egypt have united to support the Palestinian people
On the second day of his visit to Geneva, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian met and held talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Hassan Shukri. According to "Detq", the Iranian pro-government "Mehr" news agency reports this.
It is reported that the meeting took place in Geneva within the framework of the 55th session of the UN Human Rights Council. At the meeting, Abdollahian referred to the meeting between the presidents of Iran and Egypt in Riyadh, considering it a new starting point in the relations between the two countries.
Iran's chief diplomat emphasized that his country wants nothing but the best for Egypt and the region, noting that it considers Egypt's security as its own security. According to him, the cooperation between the two countries, including the support for Palestine, will have a positive impact on the entire region.
The latter also referred to Egypt's role in supporting Palestine and helping to lift the human blockade of Gaza. He called Israel's occupation regime the main cause of the crisis in the region and emphasized the need to continue joint efforts to stop the Palestinian genocide and to send immediate humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
