Armenia remains our ally, all commitments are valid. Secretary General of the CSTO
Recently, Yerevan does not participate in the work of the CSTO Secretariat, but the organization has not received any official statement about the termination of Armenia's membership in the alliance. According to "Lurer" report, CSTO General Secretary Imangali Tasmagambetov stated this in an interview with TASS.
"Yerevan really does not participate in the work of the CSTO Secretariat recently. At this stage, it is Armenia's decision, we, as an international organization, respect any decision of a sovereign state. Nevertheless, the activity of the organization continues in full volume, all processes are carried out in accordance with the CSTO normative base. The secretariat informs the relevant structures of Yerevan about the adopted and adopted decisions in working mode. Regarding some statements of RA officials, I will note that no official statement has been received from Yerevan about the termination of CSTO Secretariat's membership in the organization," he noted.
According to Tasmagambetov, some events and the moods of the Armenian elite cause concern.
"But we hope that the political leadership of Armenia will show political sobriety and evaluate the prospects of implementing various scenarios related to the organization. Armenia remains our ally, all obligations remain in force. With the help of our analysts and the tools available to them, we analyze the situation around Armenia and in Armenia's relations with the organization," said the general secretary of the organization.
