The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan responded to France after the decision to recall the French ambassador to Azerbaijan. "Despite the mediating role of France for almost 25 years based on the agreement by Azerbaijan, the obvious anti-Azerbaijani steps of this country after the 2020 war are known to everyone.

"France has seriously questioned the efforts to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the basis of sovereignty and territorial integrity, especially with the steps taken in the last 3 and a half years, and has allowed the situation to escalate."

The Azerbaijani side stated that speaking with France in the language of threats and pressures will not bring results, then noted that it will take all necessary measures "to protect its national interests".
