The residents of Kirants and Voskepar are not dissatisfied with the results of the demarcation process. Member of the National Assembly

Babken Tunyan, deputy of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly, stated that the residents of Kirants and Voskepar settlements of Tavush region are not dissatisfied with the actual results of the border demarcation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Tavush region.

Referring to the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Tunyan said: "A meeting has been called today, it will be clearer if a demand for a change of power is put forward, which has been voiced several times by the lips of high-ranking clerics, it is nothing but direct politics."

Referring to the movement's demand to stop the demarcation process, the MP said. "The movement started from Kirants. The main problem was related to the areas adjacent to Kirants and Voskepar. Today, we see that the residents of both Kirants and Voskepar are not dissatisfied with the actual results of the demarcation process at the moment, moreover, they say that they have actually received more than their expectations at the moment. Do we now remember what started that struggle and to what extent the initially announced goal of the movement is still relevant," said the deputy.

He emphasized that the border demarcation process is done primarily to strengthen the security of Armenia. According to him, if people are against those options, they should offer clear alternative options.
