The acquisition of French CAESAR self-propelled artillery stations means that it is necessary to create parallel projectile supply systems, taking into account the fact that compared to the Russian equipment dominant in the Armenian army, the French equipment, unlike the Russian one (152 mm), has different calibers (155 mm). Russian military expert Pavel Felgengauer stated this in a conversation with the reporter of "NEWS.am".

According to his assessment, the French CAESARs are effective in Ukraine, moving faster than self-propelled vehicles with caterpillar wheels.

Let's remind that Yerevan and Paris signed an agreement on the supply of French CAESAR self-propelled artillery systems.

“Of course, CAESAR's maneuverability is lower than that of its caterpillar counterparts, but it deploys quickly for firing and quickly moves away from firing positions. Its fire range is much higher (up to 42 km - ed.) than that of Soviet fire systems (about 20 km).

The French equipment has GPS targeting, which the Armenian army generally lacked. The French system provides an opportunity to fire with high accuracy, including with ordinary, very cheap bullets," Felgenauer added.
