Yerevan denies Baku's report about the shelling of Azerbaijani positions

Yerevan denies another report from Baku about shelling of Azerbaijani positions by Armenian forces.

"The message of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, that on June 21, between 12:25 and 15:35, the units of the Armed Forces of Armenia opened fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the border zone, does not correspond to reality," the Ministry of Defense of Armenia declares. :

According to the message of the military department of Azerbaijan on Saturday, their positions were shelled "in the direction of Mollabayramli settlement of Kelbajar district". According to the same source, the Azerbaijani forces have taken "adequate measures".

In recent days, similar messages from Baku have, as a rule, been denied by both the Armenian military department and the EU mission monitoring the border.

A week ago, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed to Baku to form a bilateral mechanism to investigate the violation of the ceasefire regime. No response message yet.
