"Caesar" hits more accurately than almost all artillery systems. The member of the National Assembly gives details
36 howitzers will reach Armenia from France in 15 months, the authorities confirmed the information of the French "Figaro" today.
"Of course, "Figaro" was based on the information provided by the Ministry of Defense of the French Republic. Of course, we will not deny it," Deputy Chairman of the National Defense Committee Armen Khachatryan told "Azatutyan".
On June 18, it was reported that Armenia and France signed an agreement on the acquisition of "Cesar" artillery systems.
"It is considered the best artillery means in the world, and the French army has exactly such artillery means. They have also proven their effectiveness in various combat situations in many, many places around the world. France sold that artillery means to very few countries, the Republic of Armenia, if I'm not mistaken, is the tenth buyer of those systems. It is quite an advanced system and, of course, it is very important for us to have such systems to solve our defense problems," he said.
The deputy of "Civil Contract" stressed that they have the possibility of vulnerability up to 50 kilometers, at least 40-41 km. With its technical data, "Caesar" meets all the requirements of the Armenian side, he said.
"It is very mobile, it is able to fire a certain maximum amount of projectiles in a unit of time, which is different from other artillery means, it carries out accurate shots, that is, it carries out more accurate hits than almost all artillery systems, with all its technical parameters, today it can be considered , that it is one of the best artillery means in the world."
Armen Khachatryan replied to the question that since the "Caesar" artillery systems are fully compliant with NATO standards, Armenia will not have problems with their supply and operation. - "Of course, if any weapon is acquired, the technical maintenance issues of that weapon are also discussed, because for obvious reasons, if we acquire the newest weapon, then it was not in our arsenal before, and in general, there were no such weapons in those Soviet countries, they are new are completely, there is also a service problem. The weapons that we acquire, of course, the issue of maintenance is also discussed, and arrangements are made to service them by the manufacturer or another organization, but I think that everything should be done so that the maintenance of a number of weapons is carried out by the Armenian military industry. companies".
The deputy expressed his belief that today the Armenian military-industrial complex can service almost any weapon.
