The China-Azerbaijan joint declaration is Baku's response to O'Brien's shameful visit. Azeri scholar

"Joint declaration on establishment of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China" was adopted in Astana. According to Azerbaijani scholar Tatev Hayrapetyan, this is the answer to O'Brien's disgraceful visit, during which the American side actually offered Aliyev a "corridor" logic. "In response, Baku once again reaffirms that its camp is the Russian Federation and China. Will the Western partners follow up after this? I strongly doubt it..." Hayrapetyan writes on the Telegram channel.

He also adds: "In the China-Azerbaijan joint declaration, the Azerbaijani side expresses its desire to join BRICS, and the Chinese side welcomes Azerbaijan's participation in BRICS cooperation.

Let me remind you that BRICS is a group of five countries and was founded by Brazil, Russia, India, China and the Republic of South Africa.BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.

Azerbaijan makes an obvious geopolitical choice, while at the same time it continues to play gas diversification bluff with Europe. Do they not know in European circles that it is Azerbaijan that sells Russian gas? I'm sure they know, they just don't know, and they call it "gas diversification". And while Western circles turned a blind eye to what happened in Artsakh, probably in the hope that Azerbaijan would appreciate it, Azerbaijan deepened its cooperation with Russia and China."
