Ahead of the 2nd round of the presidential elections to be held in Iran, the candidate of the reformers, the Turkic-speaking Masoud Pezeshkian continues to be the favorite in the election race.

According to "Detq", the Iranian state IRNA news agency reports that this is confirmed by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Iranian "Shenakht" analytical center.

It is reported that 42% of Iranians will definitely participate in the 2nd round of the presidential elections. 52% of them said that they are ready to vote for the reformist candidate Pezeshkian, and 48% for the conservative Sayid Jalili.

15% of the total number of citizens who participated in the poll have not yet given preference to any of the candidates, and 17% doubt that they will participate in the upcoming vote at all.

Let's remind that on June 28, the first round of extraordinary presidential elections was held in Iran. None of the candidates managed to get more than half of the votes in the elections, so the election of the president of Iran was moved to the 2nd round, which will take place on July 5.
