We have left more than 6 thousand historical and cultural monuments in the territory of Artsakh, which today are under the threat of physical destruction and Islamization. Armine Hayrapetyan, one of the participants of the protest, mentioned this in a conversation with journalists in front of the UN office in Yerevan today, July 9, "News.am" reports.

"This is the policy that Baku has been carrying out since the 1920s along with ethnic cleansing. Now that Baku has ethnically cleansed the territory of Artsakh, it is solving the problem of eliminating the Armenian trace. He is destroying Armenian spiritual buildings, we already have 3 churches destroyed to the ground: the first is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Mekhakavan in Jrakan, the Church in Berdzor and the Hovhannes Mkrtchi Church in Shushi, known as the Green Hour, which has been destroyed to the ground. If in the case of the first two, Baku declared that they were newly built, illegally built on its territory, then the church of Hovhannes the Baptist was built in the 18th century. Cemeteries and settlements, for example, the village of Karin Tak, are being destroyed en masse. The territory of Artsakh is freed from the Armenian spirit," he said.

It was also noted that they prepared a letter addressed to the UN office, where they mentioned the decision of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, so that the UN could pressure Baku to respect the court's decisions.
