The RA government hopes that as a result of the border demarcation, the decades-long dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which has resulted in two major wars, will be put to an end. According to "Sputnik Armenia", RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan made this statement in the parliament.

He decided to make an extraordinary speech after the speech of Artur Khachatryan, deputy of the "Armenia" faction, when the latter demanded that the chairman of the Cadastre Committee, Suren Tovmasyan, say exactly how many square meters or square kilometers of the territory of Armenia were given to Azerbaijan.

"I consider it inappropriate to try to involve the head of the cadastre in the already old conversation that "they gave salt, the government gave everything". The addressee is not himself, and what you say is a political issue. The answer was given 1 million 347 times: not a single piece of the Armenian territory was given to any neighboring country, was not planned to be given, was not discussed and cannot be discussed," said Simonyan.

Khachatryan reminded that citizens in both Kirants and Shurnukh had ownership certificates, which clearly state that their house is the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

"Now you say that the map is wrong. There is a procedure for correcting cadastral maps, correct it, give a new paper, say: this is the situation. I am surprised that all the mistakes are against us, there is no mistake that is in our favor", said the deputy.

Alen Simonyan responded: who said it didn't happen, but he didn't elaborate on what it was about.
