26-year-old Ani would never have thought that after choosing a native of Artsakh, getting married and living there, she would not only miss her father's house, but also the besieged house, the homeland, the broken connection with mother Armenia.

A resident of Arevshat village in Shirak region fell in love with a man from Artsakh who has a military profession and loves Artsakh with unrequited love: that love was also transferred to Ani, who left her father's house, her job in Yerevan and arrived in Artsakh, once again connecting our two small homelands together.

The husband is guarding the border, he is raising their 1-year-old son, Artsakh is surrounded, their hearts and minds are not: It is important that they are in their homeland, in their home, in their land, the people of Artsakh are as strong as the mountains, whatever test they have not endured, they will endure this too.

"We survive with the fruits and vegetables we grow, but many people don't even have that, the situation is getting worse day by day," Ani told "Detq".

The people of Artsakh often sleep hungry, in uncertainty and indifference, but they do not get angry, they do not fail and they do not weaken. After all, Artsakh is his home.

"My parents' longing is compounded by this uncertainty of not seeing them, which is more difficult and dull," Ani says frankly.

Her day begins and ends with little Kamo (named after her grandfather), waiting for her husband and waiting for a miracle.

I look at all Ani's photos, I see the hope in her eyes, I try to be her mental support as much as possible, she was a fragile girl from my neighboring village who has become a mature, strong and stubborn Artsakh citizen: he is my countryman, and no matter how much they try to tear us apart, Artsakh is my home, and Ani is a temporary prisoner in my home.
