After Nikol Pashinyan's words about freezing Armenia's membership in the CSTO, Russia is waiting for an explanation from the Armenian side. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, in a conversation with "Zvezda" TV channel.

He noted that they have not received official applications from the Armenian side. "The Armenian side has not taken official actions in this regard. We are going to contact our partners and clarify the meaning of these statements."

Let's remind that earlier the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview to the "France24" TV channel that the CSTO has not fulfilled its obligations in the security sector towards Armenia, and Yerevan has frozen its participation in the work of the CSTO.
